Message That design is for 1989 to early 1990 gauge clusters. What you'll see is that most all after market gauge faces for the Z32 are designed off this style. I believe what happened is that in the beginning someone made after market gauge faces using this early 1989/90 design. Then everyone else copied the design not knowing that the styles changed over the years. There are after market faces for the newer styles but you don't see them much.

In late 1990 they started redesigning the gauge clusters and gauge faces. Although not complete, here is a bit of a breakdown of how the physical shape of the gauge faces have changed over the years.

1989 to early 1990 gauge face.

November 19th, 1990 gauge face. Look the same? Look again. The shape of the RPM face has changed. It's just like you took the older one and turned it over.

1991-1992 gauge face. Same as above.

New style NA gauge face.

New style TT gauge face.

As I said, this isn't complete. I just grabbed a few pictures out of my archives of gauge cluster repairs to give you an idea. Another bit of gauge cluster trivia is that all gauge clusters will have one of two style electrical speedometer boards. There is actually a third design. I have only ever seen one of the third designs out of the many many gauge clusters I've seen. I actually have this gauge as it was in a gauge cluster I bought off of eBay a few years ago. Without a doubt it's original to the gauge cluster it was installed in at the factory. I have never seen another one! It's a really over complicated electrical design that contains many many parts too. Really strange!!!
